On 7th November 2009 Electric Cheer and Dance ran a Cheerleading camp at for the Rascals Cheerleaders at the Fenchuch Children Centre which provides a wide range of services for the community within the Wyke locality. During the camp the children learnt the foundations of our sport including motions, chants and Pom Dance.
The Fenchurch Children Centre provides the best quality childcare for children and their families in accordance with the Early Years Foundation Stage. The centre provides excellent pre-school education in an environment which is fun and caring, whilst meeting individual social, physical and emotional needs.
Electric is pleased to form a relationship with the centre and looks forward to future projects together.
"The Electric Cheer and Dance program delivered a wonderful interactive demonstration recently for our youth group, they were fantastic! The Rascals Youth Group were interested in learning Cheerleading and developing Dance routines so I contacted Sally through the Electric Cheer and Dance website. The demonstration was excellent, professional and encouraged the young people immediately to get involved. The children learnt routines and in doing so grew in confidence, built their team work skills and developed new Dance, communication skills and disciplines. Sally had a great relationship with the children. When the session ended the children where so excited they wanted to find out about their up and coming events to watch the team perform. The children’s behavior within the Rascals group can be challenging and unfortunately they don’t have safe places to play and interact with other children so to be able to experience and participate in a session that really boosted their confidence and made them really feel a part of something special. They’ve not stopped rehearsing the routines, adding new moves on the end and learning new chants! Sally’s professional attitude mixed with determination and enthusiasm for Cheerleading and Dance really encouraged the children and gave them aspirations to succeed in the future in sport, dance and working within a team."
