Hull Places to Go and Things to Do event (March 06, 2010)

As ambassadors for Cheerleading in the city of Hull, Electric Cheerleaders performed some of their breathtaking stunts and tumbles in St Stephens Shopping centre on Saturday 6th of March, to help reinforce the importance of a healthy and active lifestyle. As competitive athletes with both National and International Champion titles, Electric is a prime example of some of the outstanding work taking place with young people in Hull.  The program offers a variety of elite competitive teams including Cheerleading, Hip Hop dance, Pom dance and stunt teams, and this event was aimed at highlighting to young people the many positive activities taking place in Hull.

"We were all very pleased with the input from the Electric Cheer and Dance athletes at the Plings event in St Stephens Shopping centre in Hull. It was very cold, but the Cheerleaders were very professional and did a terrifc job in performing, as well as becoming part of our street marketing team conducting interviews and handing out leaflets.  We would welcome Electric Cheerleaders involvement in our future events". Gary Hass, Children & Young People's Service, Hull City Council

"On behalf of everyone involved in Plings, I just wanted to say a huge thank you to all of the Electric Cheerleaders who came along on Saturday 6th to help us promote all of the places to go and things to do in Hull. We wanted to show to the young people of Hull that there are hundreds of activities going on in Hull each week and the Electric Cheerleaders not only came down to showcase their talents and entertain the crowd, but also helped us to spread the word about Plings to everyone who came along on the day. Thank you!" Gordon Cherrington, Plings Project Manager
